PANDA-monium!

It's Pandemonium here at Zoo Mark. We're hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 15, 2016 to introduce you to our newest furry friends!

Mei Lan, Lin Hui, and Po, the Giant Pandas, are all moved in and we couldn't be more excited for you to meet them. See them in their new enclosure, learn about Pandas in the wild, and enter a drawing for a chance to interact with Po, the three month-old baby Giant Panda.

Across the way in Big Cat Alley, we have a new arrival as well. Raja, our female Bengal Tiger has given birth to a bouncing baby...Girl! We need your help giving her a name fit for future Queen of the Jungle. Come visit her in our newly renovated Baby Nursery and lend us a paw with ideas for the puuurrrfect name. The top five names will be posted on our page November 1, 2016 and voting will be open until November 15, 2016, so be sure to stop by our official page to cast your vote.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Welcome to Our Blog

Welcome to Zoo Mark! We can't wait to leave our "mark" on you! There's a few things you might like to know about us, and we're happy to lend a paw (or a flipper, if you're asking our aquatic friends).

Zoo Mark is a mid-sized zoo, specializing in unique exotic crossbreeds not seen in any other zoo in the area, and very few places around the world. Although some of our funding comes from the government to maintain our breeding program, most of our resources come from admission, gift shop, and Diner Den proceeds. Through your love and support, we've been able to expand to include our very favorite traditional zoo friends, and add some fantastic new enclosures with more enrichment programs to keep everyone happy, engaged, and learning.

We have a new and exciting program for our guests, too. We now offer "backstage paw passes", where you can get up close and personal with a few of our animals while learning about their natural habitats, behaviors and diets. Lacey, our resident Liger, loves having her tummy rubbed, while Bart, our gentle-giant Grolar Bear, is more of  a handshake kind of guy. Watch your pockets around Zeke the Zonkey, though; he's been known to pick a pocket or two looking for treats. Depending on the time of year, you might get a chance to feed one of the nursery babies its bottle.

We strive to make your experience with us one you'll not only remember for life, but that you'll bring your family back to for years to come.
